The Chromium Cleanup Partnership is holding a workshop Thursday for Jersey City residents living near the former PPG Industries site.
The workshop will allow residents living within 400 feet of the cleanup sites to have their homes inspected for chromium contamination.
The partnership, which includes the state Department of Environmental Protection, Jersey City and PPG officials, is responsible for overseeing the cleanup of 20 chromium-contaminated sites in the county.
Site Administrator Mike McCabe will lead the workshop at the Mary McLeod Bethune Life Center, 140 Martin Luther King Drive, Jersey City, at 6:30 p.m.
