HOBOKEN -- Police said they don't know what provoked two pit bulls to attack three people in an upscale residence here.
Capt. Anthony Romano said the dogs turned on their owner and two others in the unit at One Independence Court around 11:55 p.m. Thursday.
Romano said the man and two women are in stable condition at Jersey City Medical Center with bites to their legs. Their names have not been released.
Romano said a police officer shot and killed one dog. The other dog died after it was snared and tranquilized.
The incident remains under investigation.
