Jersey City police officer is struck by car

A Jersey City police officer working as security for a construction site by Washington Boulevard and 6th Street was hit by a car at around 7:45 this morning, officials said.

The officer was taken to Jersey City Medical Center for what may be serious injuries, officials said.
